A New Year on the ASP WCT Begins
It only seems like yesterday that Mick Fanning was crowned the winner of the ASP WCT 2007, but already the 2008 tour has begun with the Quiksilver Pro at Coolangatta on the southern tip of Australia's Gold Coast.
New radical surfers such as Quiksilver rider Dane Reynolds, and O'Neill sponsored surfer Jordy Smith have qualified from the WQS as high flying rookies. Whilst we are sure to see Mada's Aussie surfer Bede Durbidge, Reef sponsored rider Bobby Martinez, and Quiksilver top rookie surfer of 2007 Jeremy Flores all push Fanning, Taj, Slater, and Parko all the way this year. We are sure it will make for some awesome surfing, with most of the competitions covered online so you don't have to miss a tube ride, aerial, or wipeout.
