Wetsuits have been around since the 50's, when O'Neill and Bodyglove first developed neoprene wetsuits, but it wasn't until Rip Curl came on the scene in the late sixties that a wetsuit was designed solely with surfing in mind.

After research and close integration with the surfing community, surf brands such as Rip Curl, Billabong, Quiksilver and Roxy have produced surfing wetsuits that offer amazing flexibility and keep the surfer warm in the sea's cold water. These advances in wetsuit technology enable the surfer to ride the waves for greater periods of time, and in extreme weather conditions.
British Surfing Wetsuits
