Wetsuits have been around since the 50's, when O'Neill and Bodyglove first developed neoprene wetsuits, but it wasn't until Rip Curl came on the scene in the late sixties that a wetsuit was designed solely with surfing in mind.
Wetsuit Surf Warmth
After research and close integration with the surfing community, surf brands such as Rip Curl, Billabong, Quiksilver and Roxy have produced surfing wetsuits that offer amazing flexibility and keep the surfer warm in the sea's cold water. These advances in wetsuit technology enable the surfer to ride the waves for greater periods of time, and in extreme weather conditions.
British Surfing Wetsuits
Surfers in the UK can't surf on the English coastline without a good wetsuit, save perhaps for extreme hot weather conditions in the South\South West in July and August, so to ensure maximum time and comfort when surfing you should purchase a good quality surf wetsuit made by a reliable surf company.
