History Of The Cap
The first type of cap was the baseball cap, created around 1860 and worn on the heads of the Brooklyn Excelsiors baseball players to keep the sun and light out of their eyes. Since the first baseball caps were worn on the heads of the baseball teams, different sports and the fashion world have influenced their design, shape and style. There have been changes in the shape of the cap's peak, various materials have been used to make caps, from cotton to corduroy, and methods to improve the fit of the caps have been developed, such as Flex fit, and Velcro and plastic cap size adjusters.
