Boots

Boots were originally created to protect the feet and lower leg from the elements, with the simple job of keeping them warmth in and the water, snow, mud and dirt out.

Designer Boot Models

Boots are still great at keeping your feet and lower legs warm, but fashion has, of course, influenced all sorts of shape and design, with variations in boot height, from ankle-high boots such as the chukka boot and Chelsea boot to thigh-length riding boots. There have also been changes in the boot's closure methods, including buckles, laces and Velcro straps. Boots are made from a variety of materials, including leather, suede, and synthetic materials such as PVC.

Surf & Shoreline Boots

Thankfully surfers are a practical bunch, and we tend to wear UGG style boots in cold weather, when walking through snow or over winter beaches, rather than walking in high-heeled boots. Higher length boots such as Apache style have also proved to be popular and practical. Another popular boot with board riders is the snowboarding boot, but this is solely used in conjunction with a snowboard. Snowboard boots are rigid and have limited flexibility; they are not practical to be used as an every day boot for walking.

Shred Head has various designs of stylish and comfortable boots to keep your feet warm and dry, made by surf clothing brands such as Roxy, Billabong, and Rip Curl, including Roxy's popular Bootie boot, and the Flake by Rip Curl.
