In 1976, the Australian surfers and artists Keith Halford and Murray Bourton created the surf brand Headworx. This big name brand began by producing t-shirts and boardshorts using the designs created by Halford in their makeshift garage factory.
Surfer's Favourite Brand
Headworx was based in Burleigh Heads on Australia's Gold Coast, directly between Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise, perfectly positioned to sell to local surfers. At the heart of Australia's surf culture, Headworx surf clothing, with its fresh designs, became popular with surfers across the Australian east coast. As surfers are nomadic, like sea creatures moving from one break and country to the next, the Headworx brand spread until demand brought it to the shores of Europe.
UK Future Surf Champions
Headworx firmly believes in supporting surfing as a sport and pastime, and sponsor grassroot events in the UK such as the Headworx Welsh Open in Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire. They also sponsor Reubin Pearce, one of the top surfers on the BPSA tour, Matt Capel, who is one of the top groms on the UK junior surfing circuit, and the English Surf Team.
Aussie Brand Range
Headworx still reflects the principles of producing strong designs on durable, quality surf clothing such as tee shirts, boardshorts, hoodies, pants and walkshorts, and is still a great surfing brand for anyone that loves the riders lifestyle.
